I met Kali - the Goddess of it all!

Yesterday morning I took an elephant ride up to the Amber Fort in Jaipur. I wasn't feeling all too good because I ate too many pickles (not the kind we have in the States) for lunch the day before.

So, I did not much care about touring the fort. But I heard there was a Kali Temple on the grounds and found it by asking one of the guides. WOW! What an amazing experience. I had to remove my shoes and socks. I touched the ground before entering and there she was on her own altar staring back at me. Monks dressed in red attended to her and put a red mark on my third eye. I could not tear myself away for many minutes. It's like something inside me got fulfilled by paying a tribute to her at this very temple.

After that, the day was so great. My inner core was at peace.

There is much more to tell about my trip later in the day to PushKar, but you'll have to stay tuned. I have to catch my driver now and head back to Delhi.

Namaskar,
Laurie

Anyone who springs from the head of the slayer of demons is the right Goddess for me! Such an inspiring Goddess for us tantrikas, too. Keep writing on your journey!
